Information about subscribing through Rogers Magazine Service

Changes to the Rogers Magazine Service Program

Rogers is proud to bring Canadians world-class content through its magazines; however, to address the changing media environment and the habits of our readers, we are making a significant investment in digital content for Canadians.

With the shift toward digital, some of the magazines in the Rogers Magazine Service program will be changing. In addition, Rogers Magazine Service will no longer automatically renew subscriptions. All subscriptions, whether paid monthly or annually, will be processed for one year (12 months) only and will not be renewed by Rogers Magazine Service.

Magazines Changing

·         Maclean's - In January 2017, Maclean's magazine will change from a weekly publication to a monthly publication in print. Maclean's will continue to be published digitally every week.

·         Chatelaine and Today's Parent magazines will change from monthly publications to bi-monthly publications (6 issues/year, print and digital).

·         Maclean's, Chatelaine, Today's Parent - If you subscribe to any of these three magazines, the monthly charge to your credit card will be reduced starting in January. At that time, you will receive access to both the print and digital editions. See the pricing chart below for details.

·         Hello! Canada will continue to be published weekly, in both print and digital. There will be no changes to Hello! Canada magazine, either in frequency or price.

Magazines Discontinued

·         In December 2016, Canadian Business, Flare, MoneySense and Sportsnet will cease publication, in both print and digital.

·         L'actualité, Châtelaine and LOULOU (English and French) will no longer be available through Rogers Magazine Service.

·         If you subscribe on a monthly payment plan to any of the above-mentioned magazines, the monthly charge to your credit card will stop in January 2017.  Some of these magazines will continue to produce updated daily content on their websites.

·         If you have ordered a subscription or a gift subscription on an annual payment plan, and the subscription extends past December, a refund will be applied to your credit card for any remaining issues, or a substitute magazine will be offered, depending on the title. A letter will be sent to you with further details.

·         Your subscription(s) to the above-mentioned magazines will continue to be sent to you until December 2016, unless you choose to stop earlier. As always, you may cancel your subscription at any time and the charge to your credit card will be automatically discontinued - visit our customer care website at RogersMags.com/service or call us toll-free at: 1-800-228-9981 with any questions.

Rogers Magazine Service uses industry-standard security measures to protect data against loss, misuse and interception by third parties.

Most financial institutions cover all charges resulting from any unauthorized use of your credit card, or limit your liability to $50. If someone uses your credit card in an unauthorized manner through no fault of your own as a result of your shopping on this website, we'll cover up to $50 of the charges your credit card company or financial institution doesn't cover.

Bulk or group subscriptions

Bulk or group subscriptions are not available through Rogers Magazine Service at this time.

Magazines and the environment

As a publisher, Rogers is committed to environmental responsibility. For example:

·         Paper suppliers must ensure that wood fibre used for papermaking is obtained from certified, sustainably-managed forests.

·         Most paper stocks we use contain some recycled materials, and all paper used is 100 per cent recyclable with no harmful residues. We are increasingly using lighter weight papers that use fewer resources and reduce energy consumption.

·         Rogers' print suppliers use vegetable-oil based inks rather than petroleum based products, and have introduced technologies to minimize harmful chemicals, processes or waste materials in production.

·         We give preference to suppliers whose manufacturing processes are designed to protect the environment.

·         We also take part in industry-wide recycling initiatives in Ontario and Quebec: we help fund the costs of province-wide blue box waste diversion programs.

Please recycle your magazines:

·         Pass them along to friends, neighbours or colleagues to enjoy.

·         Many hospitals, seniors' residences, community centres, libraries or medical/dental waiting rooms welcome magazine donations.

·         Your local school or daycare centre may use magazines for reading programs and/or arts and crafts materials.

·         If your municipality offers a blue box type of waste recycling program, please be sure to use it for your magazines and other household paper.
